YWAM Salem

This is where I work…since 2006 I have been volunteering doing a variety of things in and around YWAM Salem. Here is a little insert of YWAM Salem from the website.

YWAM Salem is located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Salem is the capital city of Oregon, yet still has a bustling small town feel. The unique city of Portland is only an hour away. You don’t have to travel far to find beautiful rivers and hiking trails. The YWAM Salem campus is located on 35 acres of green grass and staggering pine trees. Battle Creek runs right through the middle of our property.

The offices, dorms, kitchen, and dining hall are all located on the upper part of our campus. The upper campus also houses our Ropes course, the largest in the Pacific Northwest. Staff houses, a classroom, and our Multipurpose room are located on the lower part of our campus. Our hospitality and maintenance department keep everything visually pleasing and functional. We also have a quaint cafe serving up deliciously handcrafted espresso drinks that is open to the public. We would love to have you stop by for a tour! Contact registrar@ywamsalem.org to do so.

YWAM currently operates in more than 1000 locations in over 180 countries with a staff of over 18,000. Each YWAM operating location has it’s own personality and ministry focuses, but all serving the purpose to know God and to make Him known. The YWAM Salem personality can be expressed through our 5 core values emphasized in our day to day operations.

The site goes on to explain the different courses we offer trough the  University of the Nations and the General vision of the base as a whole. Check it out here.
